The founder of Rajasthan Engineering College Dr. R.S. Nagar had The vision to make the engineering college with a difference and so right from the start emphasis was laid on good infrastructure and well qualified staff that would cultivate and nurture every entrant into the portals of REC and inspire them to excellence. This meant setting up policies and processes that would ensure this objective.

The Society s registered with the registrar of societies, Govt. of Rajasthan vide registration no. Dusa/85/200 with an aim of providing quality technical education the society established its first institution Rajasthan Education Institute of Nursing, B.Sc Nursing & B.Ed. College in 2001, Rajasthan Engineering College (REC) in the ear 2010.

Anti - Ragging Measures
In order to combat the monster of ragging the, college has constituted an anti-ragging squad. Additionally, the college has taken a unique initiative by directly involving the parents and guardians to apply social and emotional pressure over the students so that they refrain from and also avoid becoming victims of it.
Problem Solving
To assist students outside of the class and to remove their personal doubts and problems ,we have developed a unique concept of Problem Solving .In this methodology faculty member are available after the college hours to solve he problems of an individual.
Progress Report
REC will generates progress report card for each student showing them marks obtained by him/her in each subject and practical subject during the academic year/semester in med-term examination. There progress report cards are also sent to students parents so that parents can also know the performance of their child.
Counseling & Seminars
In today challenging world only subject knowledge is not sufficient for success in life. We conduct individual and group counseling and seminar to develop communication skill, competence and confidence in our students so that they can compete with the world.
Unique System of Communication
Each faculty member is entrusted with a batch of 20 student. He acts as a friend, philosopher an a guide for student o that they come up with their doubts and the doubts to be sorted out. The personal interaction based on old Guru and Shishya tradition generates a healthy academic environment .He also maintains the communication with the guardians to make them aware about the overall performance of their child.
Financial Aids
We provide the financial aid for needy students as scholarship on need-cum-merit basis. We also have the arrangements to facilitate the needy students with educational loan facility provided by nationalized bank.
Career Development Cell
The centre provides all the career counseling and development services to the students, right from the 10+2 stage, so that they can develop effective presentation, negotiation and marketing dexterity. The centre and guidance for career counseling & occupational performances. Effective English for Business Communication course is also offered by the centre, along with some certificate courses on entrepreneurship.
Special Assistance for English Language & Personality Development
It has been observed that skills in spoken and written English are prerequisite to technical education and placement. REC, specially caters to this need by special programme on communication skills in which a two months course shall run for comprehending and speaking aspects. Similarly a Certificate Course will be offered for the soft skills and personality development. As ca result even before the candidate is ready for placement ,he is equipped with all the skills to stand and excel to present scenario.
Lecture Halls
Big lecture halls have designed in the form of auditoriums so that each student has a clear and full view of blackboard without any obstruction from front seats. Theater shaped, spacious an well -ventilated classrooms have been equipped with comfortable seating arrangement. Modern teaching aids like overhead projector and magnetic grapy boards are also available for convenience of teachers. Well-equipped tutorial rooms are available for closer interaction between students and teachers.

In the fast changing technological scenario the industries have little time to focus on fresh man power requirement, therefore it becomes mandatory for the institution to design a successful policy in this regard. As a part of the efforts to develop and strengthen the relationship with the corporate world, Rajasthan Engineering College has delineated long-term strategy to place its students in prestigious organizations. The goal is to help build a long – term career with leading organizations and not just place the students. It is an integral part of the institute. The institute has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell.
A well organized training and placement cell is functioning in the Institution with a fulltime dedicated Training and Placement Officer, who is from IIT and has long experience in industry – both private and PSU. He maintains a consistent communication with the leading companies for placement of the students. The training deals with making the student feel confident and develop both leadership as well as a managerial quality. The department has developed a work-plan, which includes lectures by the specialist in public speaking, confidence building, stress and time management and attitudinal development.
The Placement Cell provides helps students with:
• Industrial Training: 6 week’s summer training at the end of IV and VI semester which is compulsory as a part of BE/B.Tech degree curriculum according to Rajasthan Technical University.
• Industrial Tour: It also arranges the industrial tour for the students to broaden their knowledge about industry where some may get job and some may open their own industry.
